Warren Bell: My pet peeve is people who say "pet peeve."

Jonah Goldberg: Isn't the politically correct phrase "companion peeve"?

By law, erstwhile "pet owners" in San Jose, California, are designated as "pet guardians." The official reasoning is that by changing the name, pets will be treated better.
