The poor seal butchers got trapped in the ice

I am not a vegetarian, regard animal rights activists as at best tedious, and think that hunting is the sport of kings. That said, I don't believe in hunting cetaceans, and I can't imagine how people who club baby Harp seals look at themselves in the mirror in the morning.

Mother Nature, apparently, feels the same way, for she conjured up the mojo to overcome all that anthropogenic global warming and hammer those bastards with Arctic ice.

Alternative hypothesis:

Rapid melting of the polar ice sheets means more pack ice farther south than usual this year, trapping the seal clubbers as the winds of our unseasonable nor'easter backed and brought in the ice.

Probably a better one than my "Mother Nature's mojo" idea.

If you,ve seen HAPPY FEET and MUMBLE would say SAVE A PENGUIN CLUB A LOEPARD SEAL

Killing baby seals has been banned since 1987, so those hunters no longer exist. Given the chronic high unemployment (currently 15-17%) I can see why they would kill the pups in the years before 1987.
