Wow

McCain has a quarter to a third of my school supporting him, I believe. Tomorrow will be the most literal litmus test that can be devised, as we're wearing T-Shirts that correspond to our affiliation. Blue for Obama, Red for McCain, Purple for Libertarians and undecided voters, Green of course for Greens, and Tie-Dye (Tye?) for the Anarchists.

Tomorrow will be an interesting day indeed.

Tiger teen,

You have no idea how amusing I find it that you are lumping the undecided with the libertarians.

By Blogger Aegon01, at Mon Sep 22, 11:01:00 PM:

Well, Libertarians take a lot from both sides, so Purple is apt. Also, libertarians my age, when you get right down to it, just want pot legalized. Therefore, purple.

Did similar poll thirty-plus years ago during Ford-Carter while at WWHS in Mont. Co.

My advice is to go shirtless (if you're a guy) or wear something altogether different. You can't vote yet. You don't earn yet. You have no responsibilities yet.

Some of our readers do not appreciate how incredible it would be if fully a third of the students at the George School supported McCain. It would be an earthquake.

We need a color for "Republican who is voting for McCain but with great reluctance." Faded red perhaps, tending to Pink?

Georgfelis ... would that be the ABO vote?

I think kids tend to think along the lines of those they respect, and the parents of affluent kids attending a private school probably respect their parents (while they hate them, want the car keys, and some rolling papers).

And, using my own political thinking as a barometer, probably don't 'want' for things that they'd be happy for Unc Sam to toss their way, because they're secure at home, and confident that they can give it themselves someday without government intervention.

And I think it's pretty cool that HS students, aka, next election's young voters aren't all squishy over the 'vote for Obama, did we mention how cool it is that he's black?" thing.

Me, I'm going with the "old white guy" (largely influeced by Paris Hilton's cool video) who uses his arms like a T-Rex. I do wonder about the extent of those injuries sustained in Hanoi, and whether he could've had surgeries to restore some freedom of motion.

That that many in the Princeton area (!) should lean toward McCain is indeed remarkable.

The correct terminology is "tie dyed". The effect is achieved by literally tying the garment in knots and then immersing it in dye.

And the result was???
