Snarky right-wing email of the day

From my inbox this morning:

Let me get this straight.

...we're going to pass a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it,

passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it,

to be signed by a president that also hasn't read it and who smokes,

with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes,

all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese,

and financed by a country that's nearly broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

My more considered thoughts, which more or less add up to the same point, here.

It should really be written in Chinese so they can see what they are investing in.

To be implemented by a number of doctors who have stated they will retire if it passes

to be managed by the same people who have done such a bang-up job with the Post Office, FEMA, and the VA

at a time when a growing number of Baby Boom elderly will soon be requiring a great deal more care

I keep looking for a punch line.

I have often been struck by the un-wisdom of listing a string of potentially disasterous issues with respect to a government decision and then asking what could possibly go wrong. I worry that the orginal decision-makers might regard it as a challenge.
