Another possible cause of natural disasters

Last week, we linked to a CNN editorial that proposed isostasy (thanks, Anon commenter, for that fancy term) -- a stretching of the earth's crust resulting from the surface being unburdened of melted ice -- as a possible cause of the Iceland volcano, which I mocked as Gaia feeling bloated.

We have something that clearly tops that, thanks to Purple Avenger over at Ace.

"Many women who do not dress modestly... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media.
Perhaps Sedighi is just speaking metaphorically. Just brainstorming, there might actually be a good set of lyrics for a Barry White song in there, if Mr. White was not serenading in his unique way up in heaven.

I'm pretty sure it only causes earthquakes if you do it right...

Don't worry, us western infidels are already testing this. Alas it's too late to get involved in the Boobquake. At least we can all be reassured by the diligence of science

Don't laugh at Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi. His concept of global shaking uses exactly the same logic and supporting evidence that got Al Gore his Peace Prize and millions in loot!

Aside from all the shaking, earthquakes are known to stretch the boob's surface which in my experience usually leads to globular warming.

They do cause earthquakes, but the effects are extremely localized.
