Mystery Photo!

For TigerHawk Points, bragging rights, and glory among those who count, tell us what this is a picture of. Specificity matters. Oh, and if you are one of my Facebook friends, please do not spill the beans.

Looks like the lights for one of those fancy christmas trees, as seen from inside (or else the ball that drops in Times Square)

The masonic all seeing eye after a little too much acid.
Or more than likely as fuzzyface say's the inside of a tree.

It's a cone of lights strung around a transmitting tower to look like a giant tree; photo taken from the base of the tower. The spiral effect could well be brighter bulbs distributed to simulate tinsel, or could be bulbs brightening in sequence, which would be really cool to watch, like a giant barber pole.

I can get no more specific than that; I don't know where this tower is.

Does this have anything to do with your recent colonoscopy?

Anon 1:16 nailed it. Very nice.

Surely taken with your camera phone.

Hershey's Chocolate Kiss caught in a spiderweb

By Anonymous Anonymous, at Thu Dec 30, 05:30:00 PM:

It is a spider in the center of its web with dew or rain on it. The backlighting is the sun. If I had to guess the type of spider, it would be a sun spider. I will go one step farther and say, ‘A girl spider’.

I have seen this phenomenon before, and it is always breathtakingly beautiful. Even if I am wrong, it is a great picture.

My wife got it before I read the comments, but after Anon 1:16.

The brighter lights, she says are spinning in a spiral pattern. She said that she spun around inside it when she was pregnant with our first child (which was not a good idea!).

Happy New Year, All!

By Anonymous AnthonyH, at Thu Dec 30, 11:35:00 PM:

Excuse me, she says they're "making a spiral". She was doing the spinning!

Looks like an oil rig with lights strung from it top.
