Ouch

If you're Barack Obama, this has gotta hurt. And a good question:

Exit question via Politico: Does this poll signal the end of the White House blaming its problems on Bush? They can continue to do so, but they’re not getting much mileage out of it anymore.

lol - nice link...

Reminded me of today's Bloomberg leader;

The Kenyan and his thugs have played this one all wrong. At some point, probably before the election, they should have realized that the public viewed the changes in tax code on 1/1/11 not as "extension of the Bush tax cuts, but as the Obama tax increases. The dems could have "fixed" this whole issue any time over the past two years.
Now, they risk continuing to give Bush credit, all or some, for reducing taxes next month.
Why the hell are we extending unemployment benefits AGAIN? The dems have NOTHING to negotiate with. Why give them a crumb of victory out of their disaster?

So, if Bush = Hitler
and Bush > Obama
then is Obama < Hilter?

Only if you believe, really truly believe with unicorns and rainbows, that the first statement is true.

Burrr, getting cold out.

Interesting post…

But I think this is actually bad news. The idea the American Public is stuck on the facade of the Kennedy Presidency - as well as the Clinton Malfeasance?

This means Conservative Pundits are not doing the job, and the facts are not being provided to the American Public (no surprise via ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, etc).''

This is why we still have disasters like HOLT winning elections.

Also, Clinton should be moving down, having offered basically the same policies we see with Obama today. The Clintons tried to Nationalize Health Care, appeased dangerous threats including North Korea – Arafat, gave us the biggest tax increase in US History, tried to block Welfare Reform, began today’s economic fiasco by undermining the Mortgage Industry by exploiting HUD-FANNIE-FREDDIE, foolishly treated Radical Muslim Terrorism like a mere law enforcement issue which ultimately made the USA so vulnerable for 9-11, etc., etc.

The Clintons remain a symbol of the Democratic Partisan disaster. Kennedy’s ‘Bay of Pigs’ fiasco was similar to this folly. Kennedy was charisma. He inspired – this is understandable. He also cut taxation. But Reagan was clearly the best. And the Public should know this reality. We have to do a better job.

And the Clintons should be on their way down, with all the Democrat failures…

Here is a great offering, Mr. Jacobson, which hints at some of the reasons why some give Hillary (and Slick Willy) a pass (being too tired to try to offer some reality to the fooled):

“Anyway, I have had to come to accept that most people respect Clinton, despite the disgusting amount of evidence that paints her as a nefarious opportunist with lies spewing out of her every pore. I have been lulled into a state of submission in my tirade against her since it only brings me frustration in a generation of women indoctrinated to think that ol’ Hillary is a brilliant victim.”

Um...because some of the 14 milion of unemployed Americans are Republicans. Go figure.

It's obviously Bush's fault that things cannot be blamed on Bush any more.
/sarc

We're extending unemployment bennies out as far as we are to "take them off the table" for the next year. The most annoying thing Democrats do during budget talks is to whine constantly about those poor people about to come to the end of their checks, and how it's all the fault of Republicans, and of course the media laps it all up.

Seems to me that the Republicans would actually be giving such crumbs to Democrats if they stood firm against extending unemployment benefits.

That "Republicans hate the poor" thing has an amazing amount of resiliency.

If you are dirt poor in America...you are dirt poor by choice.

One other observation: Do you all remember when Bush first proposed the tax legislation, Democrats moaned that it was all a tax cut for the rich?

If that was the case...why not just let it expire?

You can't have it both ways.
