Morning ice

The ice on my car's window this morning. Being a Midwesterner, I was of course well-prepared.

I am happy to report that Richmond, Virginia was 67 degrees and sunny today and I spent my afternoon off doing outside work in my shirtsleeves.

THAT is why I left New York!

Oh...by the way...nice pic.

Well prepared are those with an ice scraper.

Better prepared are those with a garage...

Or to be even better prepared, apply Rain-X to your car windows once a month during the winter.

An ice sheet more than likely won't form in the first place, but if it does it won't adhere to the glass. You can grab the edge with a fingernail and flick the whole sheet off in one piece.

Beats scraping for an hour.

You're a midwesterner? I assumed you were from NJ.

@Stephen -- I was born in New York, but grew up in Iowa City (hence the love of the Hawkeyes). College in New Jersey, law school in Ann Arbor, first job (for eight years) in Chicago, but back in New Jersey since 1994.
