If the Obama administration were trying to toss Sarah Palin a red-meat talking point, could it have done better than this?
Limousines, the very symbol of wealth and excess, are usually the domain of corporate executives and the rich. But the number of limos owned by Uncle Sam increased by 73 percent during the first two years of the Obama administration, according to an analysis of records by iWatch News.
The governing class needs to live well.

Probably goes along with the massive increase in Senior Executive Service pay scale employees under the Obama administration. God forbid they have to ride the Metro to work with the rest of the proles....

One of the largest areas of increased purchase of limos is in the State Dept under Hillary Clinton. It turns out that the "new" diplomacy of apologizing has made it more dangerous for our diplomats and Hillary feels that they need more protective transportation.

shall the secretary of state of the only remaining super power drive herself to meetings? Wait in the rental car line at all the countries she has visited in the last year? given the REAL, significant issues facing us, isn't this one a no brainer? How many Sr executives use a car service instead of a cab? And what is the cost differential to use an armored limo in the big scheme? lets have a discussion over something that is real, and matters to everyone.

This is incredibly stupid. What was good enough for the Bush diplomats (and Clinton, and Bush, and Reagan, etc.) should be good enough for the Obama diplomats.

That assumes that:
1) What was good enough for the Bush Diplomats was good enough at all.
2) Nothing's changed in the world since 2008.
I don't know if either of those are true, but your just saying that what was good enough in 2008 is good enough in 2011 without further investigation doesn't seem very smart.

Saying that the difference, *if* there is any and *if* it is for the better is dependent on buying a lot of expensive limousines isn't just "not very smart". It's downright stupid. Is that the new mantra for the left, "Bush lied, people died, and he didn't have enough limousines!"?
