The tax gridlock

For those of you struggling to keep track at home, here is a nice graphic that lays out the tax increases that are coming in the next 13 months if Congress continues to fail to compromise. They ain't pretty, and it is hard to see how the current crew of losers that constitutes our national political class is going to reach any sort of agreement.

Interestingly, I am presently watching Fox News Sunday, and Chris Wallace is discussing this very issue with Senators Durbin and Kyle. Kyle keeps talking about growing the economy but Durbin is framing the issue in election terms of demogoguery. Durbin seems convinced we can continue down our present spending path, perhaps with tax increases to ameliorate the problem.

Its truly unbelievable.

The lead-in to that site's comment section is amusing:

Also, be sure to create straw men and argue against things I have neither said nor even implied. Any irrelevancies you can mention will also be appreciated. Lastly, kindly forgo all civility in your discourse . . . you are, after all, anonymous."
